What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

We have to admit that current progress in research on cancer and other deadly diseases is too slow. Therefore, the current philosophy of ‘high impact’ journals publishing only ‘excellent’ manuscripts does not seem to be optimal for the progress in medical research. The Internet Era opens new ways for researchers to spread their results without restrictions. Hopefully, these new possibilities will speed up the progress in medical research. Thus, I believe in the idea of WebmedCentral.
