Brief Biography:
Born in March 1977, graduate in Biotechnological Engineering from Universidade Lusofona (Lisboa, Portugal) in 2002. In 2007 finished is MSc in Biotechnoloy (Biochemical Engineering) at Institute Superior Técnico (Lisboa, Portugal). Started his PhD research project at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2009 which was awarded in 2011. Currently, conducts research as a Post-doctoral fellow at Institute for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (Lisboa, Portugal)
Academic positions:
2012: Post-doctoral research fellow, Institute for Biotechnology and Bioengineering. 2007-2009: Research assistant, Instututo Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
Research interests:
Bacterial small non-coding RNAs, regulation of gene expression, bacterial virulence.
