Brief Biography:
My background is bedside nursing, with maternal and child health (including obstetrics) as the primary focus. I recently completed my Masters in Nursing and am a Certified Nurse Midwife, licensed to practice in New York State.

Research interests:
It is essential to read the research in the striving to deliver optimal care. At this time, my primary research interest is the reading of research articles pertaining to all matters obstetric and gynecologic, as well as general medicine. I have a desire to participate in research studies in the future.
What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
This is a wonderful idea. Practitioners may be able to read research here that validates their own experiences in patient care. There is not as formidable a barrier to publish research on Webmed Central--research that perhaps goes against the "party line" or is not completely fulfilling the standard research article format--but still represents a valid effort to arrive at conclusions affecting practice.
