Academic positions:

Research Associate

Guest Faculty (Asst. Prof., School of Biotechnology, Jaipur National University, Jaipur)

Research interests:

I am working on three different aspects of environmental issues i.e. Radiation biology (toxicology, tumorogenesis, cancer biology), wastewater treatment (by physical methods and silver nanoparticle) and Nanotechnology (pharmacological aspects and cancer treatment with nanoparticles). Presently I am working on the mechanism of cell signaling induced due to mobile phone and microwave exposures. I concluded from our research with number of studies that non-ionizing electromagnetic field induces the tumor promotion (testicular or brain cancer) by confirmation with various biomarkers (protein kinase, histone kinase, apoptois, DNA strand break, micronuclei and many more). I have also experimental experience on cognitive development (anemia and under nutrition factors in 7-12 years of children). I have sound expertise in toxicological cancer research and developmental biology. In pharmacological, I used hydroxylapatite (Hap) nanoparticles as a drug to evaluate the effect on human breast cancer cells and also quantify anti-proliferation and p53 protein expression in cancerous cells. It has been found to have obvious inhibitory function on growth of many kinds of tumor cells, and nanoparticle has stronger anti-tumor effect than macromolecule microparticles. I am interested to implement nanotechniques in the area of microwave exposure, where we can see some therapeutic impact of nanoparticles. Moreover, I have published papers on retrieval effect of Pulsed electromagnetic field in response to microwave exposure. This is also my interest to develop new criteria of therapeutic impact on affected cells.
