Brief Biography:


Education: Graduated from the Faculty of Science, Niigata University, 1970, with the degree of B.S. Degree of M.S from the Graduate School of Niigata University, 1972. Doctoral Degree from Fukushima Medical College, 1982.

Working Experience: 1973-1976, Assistant at the Department of Oral Anatomy (Histology), Tohoku Dental College; 1976-1982, Assistant at the Department of Anatomy (Gross Anatomy) of the Fukushima Medical College; 1982-, Associate Professor at the Department of 2nd Oral Anatomy, University of Tokushima 

 

Academic positions:


A councilor of The Japanese Association of Anatomists, A councilor of  Japanese Association for Oral Biology

 

Research interests:


1. Effects of capasiaicn on the small primary sensory neurons, 2. The function of capsaicin receptor, TRPV1 and TRPA1, 3. Changes of behavioral responses after neonatal capsaicin treatment, 4. Innervation of IB4, TRPV1 and TRPA1 channel proteins positive nerve fibers in the cornea, 5. The mechanisms of pain induction and relief, 6. Interactions of nociceptive neurons and immune cells in allodynia
