Brief Biography:
Prof CS McLachlan currently holds the position at University of New South Wales of Associate Professor and Director of Research within the Rural Clinical School, Faculty of Medicine. Dr McLachlan holds con-current Hon Research Positions at a number of Universities. In Sept 2010 Dr McLachlan was appointed as a Hon Associate Professor with the Center for Inland Health at Charles Sturt University.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
I like it - it is an interesting model where all papers could be essentially assigned a DOI irrespective of whether they are published or not - it gives work a central identity and be an alternative model to e-library submission for Google scholar tracking. The model should have journals which will be indexed to Pubmed - in our experience the comfort level is low without this process, similar experience for not having a impact factor.
