Thanks for submitting the paper to Webmedcentral.

The article entitled "Poikilodermatous Mycosis fungoides:A Case Report" is interesting to read, it reports on a rare variant of Mycosis Fungoides, a skin lymphoma.I have few comments to make though..

1)The authors have done a good writing however the language, grammar and the typographical errors make it an less than an average writing..., which can be revised if RE-written and MORE importantly

2)Any particular reference style in Webmedcentral is not strictly followed, nevertheless it is expected of the author(s) to follow ONE consistent style...All references quoted must have been mentioned in the text.

(A)Some references have names of all authors while others have one author followed by et al..which seems strange.

(B)Of the total 12 references in the bibliography only the first TWO find mention in the text in discussion section.

(C)References are not complete with partial mention of the page numbers of the articles.

(D)The names of the authors at reference number 7 are MIS-SPELT.

(E)The title of the paper at reference number 9 is incomplete.

(F)The reference number at 9 has mentioned quoted issue (84) which in fact would be 87.

3)Comment on the LN biopsy or CT / MRI findings and the course of treatment suggested for the patient would make it further interesting.

Overall a good paper with poor writing and wrong references leaves a BAD impression.

    Comments

The authors briefly present a case of Poikilodermatous mycosis fungoides, an uncommon variant. Following points specifically need to be addressed-

Introduction: Does not adequately discuss the justification of their presentation of this case.

Case Report:  Described succinctly. Authors can delete “ SMHS hospital (associated teaching hospital of Government Medical College Srinagar)” from para 1, this is evident in submitting author’s CV. Any comments about histopathology of lymphnodes-may be useful in classification of MF?

Discussion:  Discussion need be a little more elaborating on poikilodermatous MF, clinical presentation, differentiation from common varieties of MF, treatment option, etc.

References: Adequate. Needs uniformity-Ref 1-lists pages as ‘354-371’ while Ref 12 has pages listed as ‘1022-9’, Ref 4 lists ‘first author, et al’ , Ref 12 has ‘first 3 authors, et al’, Ref 2,4,5,7,10 and 11 doesn’t appear to have only single page!

Images: need to be of good quality.

General remarks: Typographic errors need rectification

Awareness regarding the varied presentations of mycosis fungoides is very important to be able to make a diagnosis. Recognition of this uncommon variant goes to the credit of the authors.  The authors need to do the prepublication check for printing errors a little more carefully. Over all a well written case report which meets the objective of increasing awareness about this entity.
