Dr. Saibal Chakravorty graduated in 1990 and post-graduated from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in the year 1995. I was awarded with Fellow of Royal College of Physician (FRCP) by Fellow of Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow 2018-19 & Fellow of Indian College of Physicians and Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine (FICP) 2017. I am also an alumni of Cardiff University (UK). Subsequently I have worked in various prestigious institutions like Indra Prastha Apollo Hospital & Ganga Ram Hospital. Following the initial period of training, I started my professional career as a Consultant Internal Medicine at Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute Noida. And currently I am HOD medicine & Unit Head in Department of Internal Medicine, Diabetology & Critical care. I am founder members API Noida Chapter (an organization of physicians city chapter) which was established in the year 2000. I have been secretary since 2000 to 2015. Currently I am the Chairman of newly elected governing body of Association of Physicians of India-Noida Chapter. I am the Joint-Secretary of UP API CHAPTER (state Chapter). Also I organized NOIDA APICON 2017 & 2018. During my tenure as a secretary, I have conducted large number of CMEs, Mega Clinical Updates, and various conference attended by stalwarts in medical field from all over India. I have been the Chairperson & faculty member at various forums, in national bodies and international meeting. I have delivered lectures at various conferences including National APICON , RSSDI, UP APICON. I have keen interest towards research work and has conducted several international and national clinical trials as a principal investigator and co investigator with approval of ethics committee. I have also written several chapters in books of national repute. Currently I am Editor-in-Chief of UP Journal of Internal Medicine of India(Indexed) an official journal of UP API. I am a member of International Association of Professional Writers and Editors (IAPWE) 2016. I spearheaded organizing UP APICON in 2015 (a mega conference) as Organizing Secretary successfully. I am also socially active in conducting in medical camps, Kids projects at Rockwood School Noida and SMD Inter College Meja Allahabad sponsored by IDF, UP API & providing free of cost medical service to various village. I have been in active research on basal insulin for last 10 years and have developed a thorough understanding of their pharmacodynamic & pharmacokinetic effects on Indian Patients. In 2017 I presented poster on Diabetic Dyslipidemia at International Diabetes Federation Abu Dhabi. Also presented my research work on Empagliflozin + linagliptin combination in National RSSDI Conference 2017. I delivered lecture on Diabetic Lung at Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care Sleep Medicine (PACS “PULMOCON) 2018. I delivered lecture on Diabetic Lung:a New Malady in APICON 2019, Cochin. I presented poster on Multi drug Resistant nosocomial infections, Treatment of bacterial organizing pneumonia with CSE & Multi-drug resistant urosepsis in a patient of Wegener’s at APICON2018, Bangalore.
