Brief Biography:
I have completed Masters and PhD degree in Biochemistry at Savitribai Phule Pune University in India. I did my first postdoctoral research training at University of Montreal and McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Then I moved to Indiana University, Bloomington as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. My PhD work was focused on the isolation, purification and biochemical characterization of Azoreductase/Nitroreductase enzymes involved in bioremediation of xenobiotics. As a postdoctoral fellow at University of Montreal and McGill University, Canada, I studied the centrosomal proteins over-expressed in various ciliopathies and cancer. At Indiana University Bloomington, I am working on multiple projects including chemical labeling, crosslinking of proteins to map the protein-protein interaction sites by mass spectrometry.
Academic positions:
1. Research Associate at Department of Chemistry, Indiana University, Bloomington, USA (2014- Present). 2. Postdoctoral research fellow at Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montréal (IRCM), and Department of Biochemistry, McGill University, Montreal, Canada (2011- 2013). 3. Research fellow (PhD) at Savitribai Phule Pune University, India (2007- 2011)
Research interests:
My current research interest mainly includes identification, biochemical and structural characterization of novel bacterial ribosome associated proteins and enzymes involved in protein synthesis.
What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
