Dr. Nirmal Patle

Brief Biography:


I belong to 1996 batch of GMC, Nagpur. I did my MS (General Surgery) from IGGMC, Nagpur in 2006. I completed FNB in Minimal Access Surgery in 2011from Kolkata under the able guidance of Dr. Om Tantia. I was awarded the Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) after successfully clearing DNB (General Surgery). I worked as a assistant professor in the Department of general SUrgery at NKPSIMS, Nagpur for one and a half year. My area of special interest include minimal access surgery and Bariatric surgery. I have performed more than 2000 laparoscopic surgeries. I also perform Bariatric surgery independently. I have publications in various national and international journals. I have authored chapters in a monograph on bariatric and metabolic surgery of which i was also a Co- Editor. I have also presented research papers at various national conferences. I was instrumental in organizing a national level conference 'OSSICON - Midterm' at Kolkata in Sept 2011. I have been a part of organizing team conducting various teaching programs and workshops in laparoscopic surgery for postgraduates and surgeons. I have established a fully equipped minimal access surgery department at Meditrina Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur and doing basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries since last 10 months.

Publications in various national and international journals including case series and case reports. Most articles on laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. Multiple presentations at national conferences

the idea is to share work experience in broad specialty and super specialty so that individual practioners and students will be benefited. it will also provide a platform to present interesting cases and share information pertaining to our field of interest.
