Brief Biography:
With my current experience in transcription biology, I look forward to apply my skills of molecular biology, biophysics, protein chemistry and systems biology to uncover the finer details of the molecular events that regulate the cell-to-cell signaling leading to tumorigenesis and pathogenesis. My long-term interest lies in developing RNA-based therapeutics in the field of molecular medicine.
Academic positions:
Postdoctoral Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (September 2011- present) Postdoctoral Fellow (Visiting) at Meharry Medical College (April 2011-September 2011) Postdoctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Science (December 2010-April 2011) CSIR Senior Research Fellow (September 2007-December 2010) CSIR Junior Research Fellow (August 2005- September 2007)
Research interests:
• Molecular mechanisms of cell-cell interactions. • Protein-protein interactions in regulating transcription and post-transcriptional processes. • Mechanisms of drug tolerance and evolution of drug resistance. • Stringent response in infectious micro-organisms inside host cells. • Role of quorum sensing in modulating biological interaction between pathogen and host species through transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation.
What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
I think it is the post-publication peer review that will make WebmedCentral an outstanding effort in the field of scientific publishing.
