Brief Biography:


Dr. Ritesh Agarwal was born and educated in Chennai (India). He completed his medical school (M.B.B.S) in 1998 from Stanley Medical College, and joined the Residency Program in Internal Medicine at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in 2001. Subsequently, he completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from the same Institute in 2004. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. His primary research area is allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. He also maintains keen interest in interventional pulmonology, pleural disorders, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and meta-analysis. Dr. Agarwal has more than 200 publications to his credit. He has written several chapters in national and international books. He is also co-editor of two books (Oxygen Therapy, Textbook of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine). He is winner of the NASI-Scopus Young Scientist Award in the Medicine category for the year 2011. Dr. Agarwal is Fellow of the Indian Chest Society, American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians and Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow. He is also the Associate Editor of the World Journal of Radiology.
