Brief Biography:
I am currently an Associate Professor at the geriatric unit at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Our geriatric unit was only set up 10 years ago, and was the first such unit in Malaysia. Our priority is now to improve the research profile of the unit. Prior to my current appointment I had been funded by the Royal College of Physicians/ Dunhill Medical Trust Research Fellowship and the British Geriatrics Society grants to conduct research in geriatric medicine at the Insitute for Ageing and Health, Newcastle University. I have researched and published on the topics of carotid sinus hypersensitivity, vasovagal syncope, dysautonomia and falls in older people.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
I think its a wonderful idea. I believe it is a big step towards transparency in scientific publications, and can only help ensure that more research material is within the public domain.
