Brief Biography:
Farshad Pourmalek studied and practiced medicine, public health (MPH), and epidemiology (PhD) in Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, and global health (post-grad) in University of Washington, Seattle. He worked as technical officer in WHO, UNDP, UNICEF, and for CDC. He is currently practicing public health research at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
To me, the new publication paradigm is postulated to enhance the scientific knowledge discourse by virtue of increased sensitivity of publication. Empirical evidence is yet to be waited for on the cost-benefit of changing the true / false positive set point and the diagnostic yield for the truth content. Promising on the knowledge production front, utilization of the shared knowledge to the benefit of populations’ health is the ultimate end.
