Brief Biography:
I am currently working as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta in Canada. I originally trained as a pediatrician from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and came to Canada in 2001 to do a clinical research fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the McMaster University. While doing my clinical fellowship, I also completed an MSc degree in health research methodology, with further training in health economics, from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster.
In the last 10 years, I have completed several systematic reviews including publications into the Cochrane Library, case-control studies and an economic evaluation of introducing an HIV screening program to prevent mother to child transmission of the disease. I have held clinical research grants, both as a co-investigator and as a principal investigator (PI), and have supervised trainee research projects that have culminated in successful peer-reviewed publications.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
I see merit in the idea of post-publication review (as long as certain safeguards are met).
