The authors report on a radiologic work-up with CT-scan on venous congestion in patients with mechanical intestinal obstruction. It is a interesting study, however the clinical implications are not very high. In my opinion it is not possible to deduce clinical management (operation or not or what kind of surgical procedure) from alterations in the splanchnic circulation.
